Orecchiette
ingredients
- orecchiette (invest in a decent brand - eg. de cecco)
- salt (one full punch to salt the water, some pinches for the salsa)
- extra vergin olive oil (some)
- cherry tomatoes (one qt. box)
- garlic
- basil (few leaves)

- big pot for boiling water
- a colander to strain the cooked pasta
- pan for the salsa
prep Pasta
- fill the pot with water, put on fire high until boil
- water is likely boiling now. Add salt to it, one punch.
- add orecchiette to boiling water
- after 10ish minutes (check box and taste it) strain pasta.
prep salsa
- cover bottom of pan with oil
- add peeled garlic
- dice tomatoes and throw in pan
- after 10 minutes add the basil to the salsa. let it go low/mid heat.
